BCU LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING PADDLESPORT TRANSFER

 

The aim of the BC (UKCC) Level 2 Transfer module is to provide coaches with an existing BC Level 2 coaching award in at least one discipline with the additional training required to pass the BC (UKCC) Level 2 Assessment and to plan and deliver aseries of progressive paddle sport coaching sessions.

 

Participants need to be 17 years of age to attend the course and have all the relevant

BRITISH CANOEING LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING PADDLESPORT (Assessment)

 

The Level Two Assessment course is the final step on the ladder to full level two status. This will enable you to to run on-going progressive courses for beginner and intermediate paddlers and also supervise Level One assistants.

 

You must have completed the training course and completed all of the Aseessment Portfolio and CPD modules to present yourself for this award.

 

The assessment takes place over one day on sheltered water.

BRITISH CANOEING LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING PADDLESPORT (Training)

 

The Level Two Training course is designed for paddlers who wish to progress up the coaching ladder and get involved with the on-going coaching of established learners in their first 2-3 years of paddling activity. This would normally fall into the LTPD - Long Term Paddler Development scheme and could be both at competitive or non-competitive levels. A Level Two coach can offer guidance and support to the Level One assistant coach.

 

The training course is set over four days which can be run consecutively or over two separate weekends depending on your needs. This award allows you to train and assess paddlers for the BC 1 and 2 star, Paddlepower 1 and 2, X –stream challenge.

 

The majority of the training course is spent out on the water in a variety of paddlesport craft. The practical sessions are combined with theoretical sessions in the classroom which embeds the fundamentals of quality coaching and safety.

 

Successful completion of this training course then allows you to progress on to the one day Level Two Certificate in Paddlesport Assessment.

BRITISH CANOEING COACHING COURSES - More Information

BRITISH CANOEING LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN COACHING PADDLESPORT

 

The Level One course is designed for those paddlers who are new to the coaching system who wish to gain the benchmark coaching qualification.

The Level One coach would work under a more experienced and higher qualified coach.  The course is set over four days which can be run consecutively or over two separate weekends depending on your needs.

 

The course covers everything you need to know about introducing the complete beginner through to assessing the “Paddlesport Start” and “Paddlepower Start” awards.

 

The course covers topics such as planning sessions, delivering effective coaching, safety, technical skills and concluding sessions.

 

The majority of the course is spent out on the water in a variety of paddlesport craft. The practical sessions are combined with theoretical sessions in the classroom which embeds the fundamentals of quality coaching and safety.

 

Participants need to be 16 years of age to attend the course and have all the relevant

CR Form Booking Form Course Guide

BRITISH CANOEING MODERATE WATER ENDORSEMENT

 

This award is designed for BC Coaches who hold a 4* leader award and wish to introduce and coach paddlers in the moderate water environment relevant to the award/craft. A Coach with Moderate Water Endorsement is trained and assessed to plan, deliver and review a series of six progressive coaching sessions, in the specific moderate water conditions of their discipline
